ITIT Pavilion In a report released by Forrester Research, analyst Steve Hunt said companies can cut costs by converging IT security with corporate or physical security functions. Governments around the world are pushing for the development of new technologies in conjunction with private industry, with a particular emphasis being placed on technologies for improving security of national critical infrastructures. Among the suppliers are Cisco, long known as a vendor of networking and security technologies. IT giant IBM's Digital Video Surveillance service product is based on IBM's successful IT service products, combining IBM hardware, software and support services with hardware and software from known suppliers in the Security Industry. The Mexican IT industry is expected to grow by 10% this year compared to 2007, reaching total sales of US$12.5bn. Security is also an issue in Mexico. Large corporations are investing significantly to certify their processes and guarantee the physical security and the protection of their data.
